UPDATED 13 August 2003 The EISCAT2003 Workshop and Radar School will be held at SRI International, located at 333 Ravenswood Avenue in Menlo Park, California 94025. A map at the end of this page shows local hotels and airports in relation to the SRI campus. A map showing detailed directions to the meetings is also available.  The airports most conveniently located to Menlo Park are San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and San Jose International Airport (SJC). Airport shuttles are available for transportation to and from your hotel, and may be less expensive than a taxi. VIP Airport Shuttle provides service from SFO or SJC. Super Shuttle provides a shuttle from SFO only. Public Transportation BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) operates a shuttle between SFO and the CalTrain station at Millbrae. The shuttle costs $1.50 and is located in the SFO International Terminal on Level 3 (see map). Although the BART shuttle runs every 20 minutes, the CalTrain schedule is less frequent, so check both schedules when planning your trip. CalTrain runs from San Francisco to San Jose, stopping at several locations along the way. The Menlo Park CalTrain station is approximately 0.4 miles (0.6 km) from SRI. (Due to construction, full CalTrain service is only available weekdays. The alternative weekend bus service does not stop in Menlo Park, but does stop at the Palo Alto CalTrain station, about 1.5 miles south. See the CalTrain website for more information). SamTrans bus service is also available throughout the area, with stops at the Menlo Park CalTrain station, and on Ravenswood Avenue immediately in front of the SRI campus (Route 83).  SRI has made arrangements with a number of local hotels to provide reduced rates for EISCAT2003 participants.
