The LPMR 2001 workshop is organized by the Working Group on Layered Phenomena in the Mesopause Region (http://lasp.colorado.edu/noctilucent_clouds), and is presently sponsored by its parent association, the International Association of Middle Atmospheric Science (IAMAS), the National Science Foundation's Upper Atmospheric Research Section, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Office of Space Science, and SRI International.
